Light Therapy
The treatment that asks nothing of you
Some skin doesn't need pushing. It needs settling. If you're red, inflamed, breaking out, or healing from another treatment, the last thing your skin wants is something harsh. LED light therapy is the opposite of harsh. It does its work with light alone, calming and repairing your skin from within, and you simply lie back while it happens.
It's one of the most versatile things we offer, gentle enough for the most sensitive skin and effective enough to earn its place in nearly every plan we build.
How it works
Just as plants absorb sunlight and turn it into energy, your skin can absorb light and convert it into fuel for repair. This is called photobiomodulation, and it's the science LED runs on.
We use the Max+ LED, which delivers specific wavelengths of light into the skin, each triggering a different response. There's no heat, so it works in harmony with your skin rather than stressing it. Your treatment includes a cleanse, a customised Dermaviduals serum blend and finishing products, so your skin is being nourished while the light does its work.
We mix and match wavelengths to suit your skin:
Violet light targets and reduces acne-causing bacteria
Blue light supports healthy cell communication and skin function
Green light helps fade pigmentation
Yellow light reduces redness and inflammation and brings an instant glow (a favourite before an event)
Red light stimulates collagen to firm the skin and soften fine lines
Near-Infrared light reaches deepest to calm inflammation, which makes it a cornerstone of our acne and rosacea work
What LED can help
Acne and breakouts can be reduced by reducing bacteria and inflammation
Redness and rosacea-prone skin, calmed and settled
Post-inflammatory pigmentation, the marks left after breakouts
Healing and recovery, speeding the skin's repair after other treatments
Fine lines and loss of firmness, through collagen stimulation
Dull, tired skin that needs a gentle lift in radiance
What it feels like
Quiet and genuinely restful. You lie under the light, and nothing is asked of you. There's no discomfort or downtime, so you can head straight back into your day, often looking calmer and brighter on the way out.
Your options
With Max LED
A full standalone LED session, including a cleanse, and customised.
LED Add-On
Add LED to any skin treatment to calm, heal and lift your results.
LED Package of 3
For getting a real run at a concern like a breakout or a flare. Works out to $100 a session.
LED Package of 6
Our best value, and the rhythm that delivers LED's deeper results. Ideal for acne, rosacea and ongoing skin support.
What to expect
LED rewards repetition. A single session calms and brightens where ongoing treatments deliver clearer skin, better tone and more collagen, which is why a package of three or six often makes more sense than a one-off.
We'll suggest the right rhythm for you at your Skin Discovery Session.
Frequently asked questions
What is LED light therapy?
LED is a non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to trigger your skin's natural repair processes. Your skin absorbs light and converts it into cellular energy, which supports everything from collagen production to inflammation reduction. It's UV-free, gentle, and suitable for most skin types.
Does it hurt?
LED produces no heat and doesn't break the skin, making it one of the gentlest treatments available and comfortable even for sensitive and reactive skin. You'll feel and see light and nothing more.
What does each colour of light do?
Different wavelengths reach different depths and do different jobs. Violet targets acne-causing bacteria, blue supports skin function, green helps fade post-breakout pigmentation, yellow calms redness and adds glow, red builds collagen, and infrared reaches the deepest layers to reduce inflammation. We combine them to suit your skin.
Can LED treat my acne or rosacea?
It's a valuable part of how we treat both. The anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory wavelengths make it a cornerstone of our acne and rosacea work, though it works best as part of a broader plan rather than on its own. We'll show you how it fits at your consultation.
Is there downtime?
None. You can return to your day straight after, often looking brighter for it.
How often should I have it?
LED works best with consistency, so a course or regular sessions deliver far more than the occasional one-off. Many clients add it to their other treatments and book standalone sessions in between. We'll map a realistic rhythm to your skin and your goals.
