How it works

Enzyme Therapy is applied as a mask that gradually sets firm over your treatment, stimulating the enzyme activity within your skin. That's where the famous sensation comes from, a tightening, pulsing feeling as it gets to work.

As it activates, it flushes dead cells, congestion and build-up from your skin, and draws fresh, oxygen-rich blood to the surface. After your treatment, you'll often see what's called the Plasmatic Effect: a rosy flush as blood rushes to your skin. It looks dramatic, settles shortly after treatment and it's the sign your circulation has properly switched on. Underneath all that, the enzymes are nudging your skin to produce more collagen, which firms and clears it over time.

What is DMK Enzyme Therapy?
DMK Enzyme Therapy is a professional treatment built around DMK's transfer messenger enzymes, applied as a setting mask. It works to restore your skin's natural function by flushing impurities and lifting oxygen and circulation, rather than only treating the surface the way a standard facial does.

What is the Plasmatic Effect?
It's the temporary flush you see toward the end of treatment, when the capillaries dilate and blood flow to the skin increases. It looks striking, and it's completely normal. It signals that circulation and oxygenation have risen, and it settles shortly after treatment.

What's the difference between the Introduction, Intermediate and Advanced treatments? They're levels of the same therapy, increasing in strength and customisation. The Introduction eases your skin in. Intermediate adds tailored pre-treatment and enzyme layering. The Advanced and Advanced+ treatments include stronger exfoliation, pH revision and cold therapy. We build your skin up through them at a pace that suits it, rather than starting too strong.

Does it hurt?
It isn't painful. The masque tightens, and you'll feel a pulsing or mild itching sensation as it activates, which most people find relaxing once they understand it.

Is there any downtime?
Very little. Your skin may look flushed for a short while and occasionally can stay slightly pink for the rest of the day. Most people head straight back to normal life with good sun protection. 

How many treatments will I need?
It depends on your skin and your goals. Enzyme Therapy works beautifully as a one-off glow before an event, and far better as a course for genuine skin change. We'll map a realistic plan at your Skin Discovery Session.
